    Personal Wood Library

I come by my love of figured wood from my dad. I used to go with him to saw mills looking for figured wood when I was a youngster. I guess it rubbed off on me.

Anybody want to take a shot at identifying 1-7?

Extra credit for identifying the the fretboard in #7. ;-)

    Very cool!

The best part is that you and your Dad shared an interest.
If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

I was fortunate enough to see some 11top's stash in person. He was quite the host.

I'm doing cardio on the treadmill so won't take time to go for all seven, but 4 is mahogany from The Tree. I will never in my life forget that guitar.

    I remember well the conversation.

Steve: Hey, Jesse...check this out...(hands me guitar)...
    Me: (amazed)
Steve: You know what wood that is?
Me: It looks like mahogany, but mahogany doesn't do this...
    Steve: Well...it did...once.
    Me: (amazed^2)
