    Updated Starla Pickups?

Has anyone else noticed that both sides are now threaded pole-pieces? They also appear to sit up a lot higher than the previous generation.

EDIT: Shawn said these are the proto pickups.

Are those the S2 pups? Or is this a newly acquired Stevensville honey?

I pulled the image from the MD-made Starla's product page (http://www.prsguitars.com/starla/).

The S2 Starla pups appear to be like the previous gen.

That's interesting. The "natural" one looks as if it has the original Starla configuration...

The first generation/prototype Starla pups had two rows of screws, but they were quickly changed to include one row of slugs and one row of screws. The S2 Starla pups also have a single row of screws and a single row of slugs.

Yes, the original Mira and Starla designs have now been retired. The S2 models are now available.

Hell yeah. I've been on the look out since the Starla came out - I've only seen 1 pair, that wasn't for sale.
