I was just looking at that... Quilt tops have been known to cause a lot of problems in my wallet.
-I'm no expert, but it seems to work and I haven't electrocuted myself yet. Which is pretty much the standard I live by.

I personally think the spalted maple models are ugly.

I'm not a fan either.. but I do like everything else about that guitar. The binding on the body, neck, and headstock looks dope! I wasn't aware those had that.

Thread, I am new to this blog site...just bought my second PRS SE.....1st one was a custom 24 red, played nice but nothing special, I wasn't a fan of the 25" scale length. Just bought a SE SANTANA model in Ice tea color with CURLY MAPLE so exquisitely matched it is indescribable!! The play-ability, tone, everything about this guitar screams excellence in construction! It was at a guitar center for their 49th anniversary sale and I got it for $514.00 Brand new!!!! I will post pictures later...just wanted to say hello to everyone and tell about my guitar!! Best playing guitar I have ever had...and I have had a lot!!

I loves me some spalted hardwoods, but in the case of actually finishing the wood - and this is just "IMO" and such - I wish they'd stain them darker.
