Perhaps this guitar is New Old Stock but it looks like it was made yesterday. I am the original owner, I just bought it new a couple of weeks ago and I was hoping to find a way to register the guitar for warranty purposes online but no such luck. I doubt I'll need it.
I'm calling it a 2011 because that is what the card says on the inside.
Also Pattern Thin, assembled by JH, final check by JM.
One thing that I'm scratching my head about is the pickups are documented as TREBLE 59/09 TM BASS 59/09 TM
I've seen a lot of chat about 59/08 but I don't remember seeing anything about 59/09. Is there a secret code to deciphering the meaning? What is there to know about 59/09 pickups?
I've owned two PRS guitars previously (one new and one used) a Mira and a McCarty respectively. They were great guitars but they didn't retain my interest quite enough for me to keep them. However, this guitar is nothing short of AWESOME and I'm keeping it! Seriously!
The maple top looks incredible! So good in fact, I'm guessing it didn't make the 10 Top grade because the flame drops off just a little tiny bit in a couple spots.
Comfortable to play, great boldness and versatility in the tone department, fantastic sustain, easy to reach volume knob, stays in tune, great performing tremolo, I love the 5-way switch, very good setup from the factory... Just a fantastic guitar! Anyway, I'm sure all of you already know all this. I really dig this color scheme too.
Here's a quick photo I shot in the back yard. I don't live very far from the factory. (About an hour away on the Harley.)
