    Hollowbody Question...

Anybody out there tell me what kind of strings PRS puts on their Hollowbody guitars?

    PRS 11's, w/a wound G…

They are made by D'Addario to PRS' specs…

Personally, I prefer the D'Addario 10's w/a wound G. I found them easier to bend and still retain the fuller sound…

I'm using D'Addario 11s with a plain G...for the same reasons Jamie likes his set. On my non-piezo SC HB, I'm using straight D'Addario 10s.

I prefer the plain as well. Couldn't comment on the difference in piezo mode.

I think the wound G might have sounded a little better, but it was causing me to miss too many bends! Right now, that's the only guitar with 11s, and transitioning between guitars wasn't letting me build up the muscle memory. The unwound G is close enough to the rest of the guitars that I don't miss the bends as much.

For me, the tone difference on the G was minimal enough to make the change.
