Question 1998 PRS Custom 22... Value?

    Hi Guys,

I just wondering, what is the value of a 1998 PRS Custom 22 in the market today? Everything seems to be stock except a non-original case and no paperworks.

    Thanks in advance.

Values are not usually discussed here (it's in da rules) .try E-Bay, Craig's list...etc...for an est. value. However, we can discuss how beautiful that guitar is!! Nice score!!

    Thanks for the reply!
Anyway, do you know what radius PRS wraparound bridges use? I was planning to change the bridge with a TonePros AVT-II but its 12" radius.

Actually it's not in the rules, we can't discuss retail or wholesale pricing on new guitars, or post "for sale" threads (thinly veiled or not).

We're free to discuss second hand pricing, however I feel some people don't for fear of offense (the 2nd hand market is a fickle thing). Then again if someone is genuinely curious about the market value of their axe, people should be able to be honest.

Your suggestion of checking completed eBay listings is a good one

All PRS guitars are 10" radius except otherwise stated (such as Santana models). Any reason why you want to change the bridge?

I want to use heavier gauges of strings and change my tuning so I might need an adjustable bridge for intonation.

I would try it first. From what I understand the PRS wrap around will work for about any tuning as long as you have a plain G string.

Sorry, I'm really new with PRS guitars. The seller said its a 1998, but I think its a 1996.
    Looks legit, right?

That's a '96. The tone pros will work, it just won't feel quite right(or at the least the same as a 10 radius). Some people notice, some don't. I much prefer the PRS adj. bridge. Some of those tone pros don't have the saddles notched. They can be notched to a 10" radius by someone who knows what they're doing.

Is a $290 bridge worth it?

As mentioned above, try out the existing bridge before changing. I absolutely love the wrap-around non-adjustables. If it doesn't work, swap it out.
