I despise most distortion pedals but this wampler pedal sounds really good. Wow.

I'm with you, Gush. I use amp distortion primarily, but I have a Wampler on my board for more over the top distortion. It's the first pedal distortion I've used since I made the switch from a "red knob" Fender solid state M-80 to a Marshall 800 in 1995.

After watching the wampler pedal vid several times, I bought the pedal. The last distortion pedal I purchased was a boss HM-2 when they first came out. That's been a couple of years ago. What will this lead to??????

It would have been nice if they showed specific amp (used a Port City model, apparently) and pedal settings. It sounded very good in that demo but I'm always skeptical to reproduce video results on my rig. I wish Brian Wampler would setup a pedal demo exchange...his facility is just down the road from me...and I'd love to try several of his pedals.

Hello. I've never been man of pedals, but I have a Pinnacle and a Plextortion.
Pinnacle = American sound (Van Halen in the 70's)
Plextortion = European sound (Judas Priest in the 80's)
Wampler is one of the best brands of pedals. TheFaux Spring Reverb Pedal is also spectacular, all in Wampler is spectacular. But here in Europe, are somewhat expensive.
    Greetings
