    Guitar maker in refugee camp

Although the instruments are pretty rustic, I think the spirit this guy shows is amazing!

I admire what he's doing. Making guitars under difficult conditions, with hand tools, whatever wood he can find, etc? Wonderful.

It'd be pretty cool if we could send him parts, as Serg suggests, or even wood.
If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

That's pretty amazing! Kinda makes me re-think what I complain and fuss about...in EVERY portion of my life, not just the guitar side of the house.

    Nice post, Shawn!

Gotta love the human spirit and resilience. And we complain about what tonewoods or pickups are better.

WOW! What a Craftsman! Id like to see what he could do with a full shop, even hand powered, and some great wood
