I have a Santana SE model, orange color. Found her in a music shop in SC. Someone needed some Christmas dough and let her go......too bad, so sad. Now she's mine all mine lol........As far as an amp goes.....sigh, I have a, dare I say, pignose 7-100 right now.......but I have a little Orange Crush 12L amp on layaway which I hope to have out soon. I was playing a Breedlove acoustic before which I still have but it's not getting any love these days since "Maria" came into the picture. So I'm not quite sure how to post pics, tried but it's asking for an url. Can I add pics from my computer or do I have go about it another way? Sorry for the "newbieness."

Welcome the the Forum. Congrats on the guitar.

Yes, to post pics I use Photobucket, but there are many other free sites you can use.

If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

Welcome suthern...some strictly platonic newbie luv coming your way.

SE Santana is the perfect way to start, or re-start. That's the axe that bit me when I got back into playing 2 years ago...love the neck pickup on those things.

Thanks Bill! Yea, that middle pick is a standard jim dunlop usa nylon 1 mm. Awesome pick, great for strumming as well as lead picking. Just got the dunlop tortex t3 (green) in the .88 mm and they are good for both too. I recently bought two of the dunlop nylon (red) max grip jazz III to try and I like them a little better than the regular jazz III. The grip helps out quite a bit, for me anyway. I guess I have Dunlop's disease. And not just for picks....my belly dun lopped over my belt with all the recent Thanksgiving and Christmas goodies lol...

Next chance you get , ask your local store about "Brain" picks...same idea but with more texture to help grip. I also have some with a crescent moon on them that have a similar texture but not sure of brand name. Enjoy that guitar!!

Ok, and "dun-lop" hit me, too.
