When did the control "divots" get so big?

Mine seem so shallow compared to the the present ones. Was this also done when they moved to CNC carving in 95?, or is this just an optical illusion?

I don't know just when, but the ones on my 88 are definitely more shallow then my others. The ones on my 95 seem about the same as depth as newer ones but still feel different somehow. I think they may have changed a few times over the years.

I'm not sure when they changed, but I do prefer the older carve.

Seems to me it was when they changed from the duplicarver to CNC. The contours changed slightly and the maple edge is thicker on the CNC guitars vs the duplicarved guitars.
