2x12 closed back DB 'big mouth' cabinet - stealth?

Is this cabinet birch or pine? All the other cabs on the website are specified as pine except the 4x12, which is birch...no wood type is specified for this cab though. I'm thinking I want to pick up a PRS 2x12 sometime. Shoulda snagged the used one I saw a while back.

I think it is birch for some reason. I can't remember where I read this, though.

S'posed to be a really nice cab.

I thought birch also, but looking for some confirmation. I played thru one and it sounded really good but I hadn't played thru the 2 channel custom head before so it was tough to gauge since I was dialing the head more than anything else.

    From Signature Magazine Volume 3:

    Birch Speaker Cabs
2x12 DB “Big Mouth” cab: Heavy-duty “Stealth” Tolex covering. Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Open back. European birch plywood. (8 ohm).
4x12 Speaker Cab: Heavy-duty “Stealth” Tolex or paisley covering. Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. Closed back. European birch plywood. (16 ohm).

Although both of my DB Big Mouth cabinets are closed back...

Deep Back... They are a little deeper than the regular cabs. I have two and love them. Lots of nice tight low end and focused mids with sweet highs.

Get one, ya can't go wrong!!!

I thought it was "Dumpster Baby".

I've been dreaming of those DG cabs and I don't even own a head.

They are great, I just bought one. This is a 2x12 that sounds like a 4x12!!! And its a lot easier to move up and down stairs! I may add casters to mine????
