It's fitting that guitar porn is sitting on a leather sofa.

    Brazilian board.

Thanks for the good wishes, everyone! I'll post a pic and tone report tomorrow.
If something is too hard to do, then it's not worth doing. You just stick that guitar in the closet next to your short-wave radio, your karate outfit and your unicycle and we'll go inside and watch TV.

    The guitar came.

    Ohhhh man, it's just killer.

It's beautifully set up, and it sounds very cool, different from my earlier Stripper and SC58s. I have no idea if it's just this particular set of wood, or if the BRW board makes a difference, but this one's got a bit of brightness and spank, a bit less throaty and more of a woody undertone. A very, very sweet sounding instrument!

It's interesting how 3 very similar guitars will each have its own unique voice, isn't it? All this stuff one occasionally reads about the woods not making a difference, and it being all about the electronics is poppycock.

This one sounds quite different from my old Stripped 58 with the very same pickups, and yes, they are the same height (factory spec).

The guitar's color looks exactly like Jack's picture (at least in daylight), so it's very unusual, and adds to the great vibe!

Glad to hear you are digging it...and that the color matches the photo! That's a really unique take on the burnt almond.

    Congrats again.

I had to take a break for the night; I can hardly stand to put the guitar down!

So easy to pull great sounding tones out of, too.
