Am I crazy for wanting to replace the pickup rings on my P22?

Genuine question, as I simply can't decide if the white pickup rings on my P22 (purple hazel) are distracting or a necessary ingredient.

I've changed the truss rod cover, but something about the pickup rings give me pause. I can kinda see how the slightly-off-white rings bring a nice accent, but they just seem strangely bubble-gum.

    Thoughts?

Your guitar dude so if you don't like 'em, change 'em!

My opinion is that the black would match in well with the darker edges of the burst (and match the toggle too), but there's only one way to find out...

If you have scrape binding that reveals the maple, then flamed maple rings would add a nice touch. I had flame 408 pickup rungs made for my PS and they're badass.

Hell no. It's your guitar. Do what you like. You can always switch them back.
