My new NF3 and a short review.

    The NF3 arrived.
Changed the strings to 9's, made a few fine tweaks (adjusted the springs, lowered the action, reset the intonation) and it stays in tune excellently!
    Happy boy here.

Overall impressions of the guitar are LOVE!
The frets are a tad higher than I'm used to which adds a bit more resistance to doing slurs, but bends are handled with ease.
    The pickups are FANTASTIC!
    Great tone and balance.

Volume and pickup selector are in a bit of an odd place.
Volume is almost directly under the tremolo arm and the pickup selector takes a bit of reaching around the tremolo arm to get to compared to a traditional strat placement.
I may look into getting a replacement pick guard made with the controls in the more traditional placements if I can't get used to them the way they are.
Overall, I really love the guitar.
The neck shape is just so comfortable.
    The Korina wood is light.
great guitar to stand and play.

    Later that night;

    Took the guitar to rehearsal.
Tones were delicious at full volume (Loud Band! Check out www.petsharkband.com) and the NF pickups cut through the mix with ease while still delivering just the right amount of fatness and excellent sustain.
Finally seem to be settling in to the odd pickup selector placement.
Still might change the pick guard in order to adjust the placement of the volume knob and pickup selector to a more traditional strat placement.

Bottom line, it's a great guitar that I'm proud to own.
Love the bird inlays on the maple fretboard!

Cool guitar!Check out this link http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-America...item2c6ab42f36 .Not much space to adjust placement of the knobs under pickguard.

I was wondering about the routing.
    I hate to alter that.
Just going to have to play it a bit longer before I make that decision.

Wondering why someone would be parting out such a nice guitar?
Did this get snuck out of the factory by an employee?

PET SHARK! Just checked out the band. Love it. Has a bit of a Satch meets Mr Big maybe..Nah, thats not it. Can't place my finger on it, which probably makes it a great thing. Hear a little ZAZA too. Actually hear a lot of Zaza. Very, very cool!

I dig the bird inlays on the maple neck - very nice! My only complaint (and I mean it, its my only one) with the NF3 is that the middle pickup gets in the way of my pick and fingers. I'm starting to get used to it after my first week with it, so maybe you will get past the odd control placements. Anyway, congrats on your new guitar!

Lowered the middle a bit extra.
    Problem solved.

Wow! Thanks everyone for the compliments.
    Means a lot!

Matt Bissonette played all of the bass parts on the album.
He's currently on tour with Sir Elton John.
In the "pre-production" phase of our second album.
