    NGD - Paul's Guitar

I have been looking at these and finally decided to try it out. Beautiful guitar. Sounds great, feels great. Neck is pattern but feels like the old wide/fat to me. Doesn't feel like my SC58 pattern neck. Pickups have a nice nasally sound to them. I just love the black gold guitars!

Nice! I picked up a Copper finish one of these a few months back and they're amazing! I agree the Pattern neck feels different to the SC58 neck. I tried an SC58 expecting the same neck and was disappointed. My old 408 Pattern neck felt the same too so I think it might be the 24.5" scale necks which differ slightly: I played an S2 Mira today with has a 25" scale Pattern Regular neck and that felt closer to my PG than the SC58 did. Actually, I really likes the Mira ...

I also have a 2009 McCarty II with a Wide Fat and it feels very similar but maybe a slight less "V" to it.

How do you find the sound compared to cu24? I played a pauls guitar twice when I was in London a fortnight ago, but it was through the shop (ivor maraint) Marshall which sounds nothing like the mesa mk5 I'm used to. Also the one I tried at a stop tail like yours when I am used to the tremolo. Even so I loved it. Very tasty instrument, that I will probable end up getting even though I tell myself it's not really necessary.

Nice!! The Paul's Guitar is my favorite I think of all of the 408-equipped guitars.... I just love the 3 way switch and the stoptail.
