Longtime PRS signature artist Carlos Santana recently took on an ambitious passion project outside of music. After a conversation with farm worker union founder Dolores Huerta, Carlos asked to make a film about her life. DOLORES, the movie, sheds light on this enigmatic, intensely private woman who is among the most important activists in American history. With unprecedented access to both Dolores and her children, the film reveals the raw, personal stories behind the public figure. It portrays a woman both heroic and flawed, working tirelessly for social change even as her eleven children longed to have her at home. Dolores Film Carlos Santana In an interview with Billboard, Carlos spoke of Dolores as a "ray of light." Carlos mentions, "The film is going to inspire sisters of all ages to roll up their sleeves and continue making changes because there's too much darkness. Dolores is the queen of equality, fairness, justice and a supreme champion." The film debuted theatrically in 2017, but has now also made its television debut on PBS' Independent Lens in late March 2018. -- Learn more about the film here!
