This year also brings a special moment of recognition for Carlos Santana, who will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from The Recording Academy as part of the 2026 Special Merit Awards.
Santana will be honored alongside Chaka Khan, Cher, Fela Kuti, Paul Simon, and Whitney Houston during a ceremony on Saturday, January 31, at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles, ahead of the 68th annual GRAMMY Awards.
Carlos' guitar voice is unmistakable. Drawing from rock, blues, jazz, and Latin music, his playing has shaped generations of musicians and continues to resonate today. His career is proof that feel, tone, and intention matter just as much as technique.
Congratulations to all our PRS artists nominated this year, and congratulations to Carlos Santana on a well-earned lifetime honor. We’re proud to stand alongside artists who continue to shape the sound of music; onstage, in the studio, and beyond.
