Eightlock Celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center

Opening its doors in 1973, The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center is one of the world’s leading medical institutions working to both understand and eradicate cancer. Part of the Johns Hopkins Medical System here in Maryland, the Kimmel Center is renowned is for its pioneering research into the origins of a range of cancers and of course, cutting-edge treatment for those stricken with the disease. To mark the Kimmel Center’s golden anniversary and celebrate its fifty years of service, Paul Smith, and the members of Eightlock invited the Kimmel Center’s staff to record vocals for a special cover of Bob Marley’s timeless tune, “Could You Be Loved.” Check out the results below!

“I thought it was an extraordinary experience to be able to perform such a unique and iconic song. “Could You Be Loved” is my favorite Bob Marley tune and the band absolutely killed it! - Paul Smith
