Paul Reed Smith To Receive Two Honorary Awards

Our own Paul Reed Smith is slated to receive not one, but two prestigious regional awards. On Tuesday March 19th, Paul stands to receive "The Maryland Global Visionary Leadership Award" courtesy of the World Trade Center Institute. This honor is bestowed annually on individuals who through their life’s work, have made significant and lasting contributions to international culture here in the great state of Maryland. Paul is to receive this award in recognition of both PRS Guitars’ expansion into international markets, and its efforts to give back to local communities. Hosted at the American Visionary Art Museum in downtown Baltimore, Maryland’s International Business Leadership event has been the state’s most prestigious international awards celebration for almost thirty years.

On Saturday, April 20th, Paul will be at Capital One Hall in Tysons, Virginia where he is to receive his second major accolade. He is being honored with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the 2024 Wammie Music Awards. The Wammies celebrate the diverse community that anchors art, music, and culture throughout the Delaware / Maryland / Virginia area. Paul’s award is one of nearly fifty awards to be presented throughout the evening including Best Music Venue, Best Music Video, Best Youth Artist, Music Educator of the Year, and Hitmaker of the Year.
