Meet the Private Stock Special Semi-Hollow Limited Edition

We're excited to introduce the Private Stock Special Semi-Hollow Limited Edition! This extremely limited 85-piece run features Private Stock grade woods, smoked black hardware, and a Citrus Glow finish. Like all Private Stock instruments, this limited edition was crafted by our Private Stock team and personally inspected by Paul Reed Smith.
The "Special Semi-Hollow" has a deep history at PRS, but after being discontinued for years we reintroduced the model in 2021 within our Core lineup. The Special Semi-Hollow is known for its versatility and beauty and this Private Stock version keeps many of the appointments of the Core model:
- 22-frets
- 25” scale length neck
- semi-hollow body with single f-hole
- hum-Narrowfield-hum pickup configuration
With this foundation, our Private Stock team took this model to the next level with material choices and their special craftsmanship.
This PS limited features stunning woods from the Private Stock Vault, including a highly-figured maple top, a Black Limba back and neck, ziricote fretboard, truss rod cover, and headstock veneer. Finished with white mother of pearl and paua inlays, smoked black hardware, and a high-gloss nitro Citrus Glow finish, these instruments are true examples of the Private Stock team at work.
