PRS Acoustics at The Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase

Recently, the 3 members of our Private Stock acoustic team visited Woodstock, New York where the annual Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase takes place.

The Woodstock Luthiers showcase offers a collection of handmade instruments built by small boutique builders from all over the world. Together in one room, the luthiers display their best work to each other and to the public. PRS was there and represented by Austin Harris (Acoustics), Joey Lambert (Acoustics) and Paul Miles (Director of Private Stock). For the past 3 years, PRS has been a sponsor and exhibitor at the event!
From Friday to Sunday there were about 50 builders and another 20 or so vendors all together at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY. The theater was open to the public, encouraging all to experience seminars on building and inlay, as well as acoustic performances by some of the best players in the business.
PRS Director of Private Stock, Paul Miles says, "As a large manufacturer, it’s nice to be able to share technique and experiences with the smaller builders; we all learn from each other. This year was the best response we have received for our acoustics. The biggest compliment we heard was how consistent all four of the PRS acoustics were that we brought with us. This is a huge compliment from these guys."
Our Private Stock acoustic department offers high quality, aesthetically beautiful acoustic guitars with a tone that speaks for itself. With only a 2-man building team, the PRS acoustic department operates as a boutique shop building heirloom quality instruments within our larger operation.
